NY NEXT Workouts- Boys & Girls
NY Havoc sets the standard for grassroots in Albany, NY and beyond. Havoc seeks to advance the development of young players, teams, and coaches to set the course of grassroots basketball for the future in the Capital Region.
Open to ALL players! Girls in grades 6th-9th grade. 3rd graders are welcome to attend. Workout filled with skills & drills with the intensity and detail of a team practice/workout!!
Purpose of workout:
NY Next workouts are “Evaluation Events” that allow coaches to assess players for team placement for Spring 2024 teams.”
Allow prospective members to experience the culture & atmosphere of NY Havoc while getting better. In addition to prospective members, current members can keep their skills sharp during during winter until Havoc teams resume in spring. Athletes will participate in advanced skill development drills followed by several competitive drills and full court games.
These workouts are considered evaluations for 2024 team placements.

You must attend at least (1) Evaluation. You are more than welcome to attend multiple Evaluations
Each Evaluation is 2 hours and led by Terrance Florence, NY Havoc Program Director. Includes: Skills Training and Team Play

How We Select NY Havoc 7th-8th Grade Teams
We have a (3) Tiered Team Model based on Schedule
National Schedule - Compete at the highest level in the US. Requires traveling to compete against the best competition in the US.
Regional Schedule - Compete at the highest level in the northeast. Requires limited travel to play against the best competition in the northeast and mid-Atlantic. Preparation for High School Basketball and NY Havoc 17u, 16u and 15u teams
Local Schedule - Compete against the best teams in the Northeast. Requires little to no travel at all. This is ideal for multi-sport athletes and/or late bloomers. Preparation for High School Basketball and NY Havoc 17u, 16u and 15u teams
NY Havoc High School Teams Selection Process
We have a (2) Tiered Team Model based on talent level and character of each player
NY Havoc 17u, 16u and 15u Teams - The highest level of exposure in high school basketball. Preparation for Division I/Division II basketball (Power 5 to Mid-major)
NY Havoc 17u, 16u and 15u High School Teams - High level of exposure in high school basketball. Preparation for NAIA, Division I, II or III basketball

(1) Evaluation: $30 (Includes: Training, Team Play, Individual Evaluation)
